Teeling distillery BANG BANG BAR

The Bang Bang Bar which is now open at Teeling Distillery in Dublin is named in honour of local legend, Thomas 'Bang Bang' Dudley, whose quirky antics entertained Dublin in the 1950s and 1960s.

Bang Bang was renowned for his love of cowboy films and delighted passengers on the city’s buses and trams with his mock shootouts, using nothing more than a large church key as his "gun." His eccentricity made him a cherished and much loved figure in Dublin folklore.

The challenge was to redefine the on-site drink and bar experience, leveraging Teeling's key values to create an engaging and comfortable lounge environment. This shift moves away from a mere short dwell time area to a space where visitors can immerse themselves in the Teeling experience.

When crafting The Bang Bang Bar, we drew inspiration from the palette of the Teeling brand, weaving warm colours and industrial feel into the design. Every element is meticulously curated to ensure cohesiveness with the Teeling brand ethos, emphasising quality, heritage, craft, and flavour.

Situated in the distillery building in Newmarket Square, the space is more than a bar, it's a living narrative of Irish whiskey heritage and culture.

The Bang Bang Bar is the final step in the journey through the Teeling distillery visitor experience and it offers the perfect setting to relax and savour a carefully crafted drink.
